Airman Vision
США
Добавлен 6 окт 2011
Airman Vision started back in 2012 when Kyle Gott was looking to join the Air Force. The channel was originally named Kyle Gott. From 2012 to 2019 Kyle documented his life and experience of a 6 year enlistment in the Air Force. In August of 2019 the channel was rebranded to Airman Vision to showcase a more broad concept of the Air Force. This channel will consist of the view of the Air Force from several Airmen's perspectives. Each video will be the view of a specific Airman who is currently serving or who has priorly served. This channel has grown to be more than just Kyle Gott and that is why he decided to rebrand. It isn't about Kyle Gott, it's about helping people join the Air Force and have the best experience possible.

BMT Tips: Rank Structure and Memory Work
When you see a fork in the road take it. First decision: Officer (Collage) or Enlisted (High School). Then there are two paths regarding the military #1 All out ball clanging Tom Cruse adventure Fighter Pilot/Navy SEAL. Extremely difficult to meet the physical and educational prerecrasets in the first place and nearly impossible to complete the training. Not for the WOKE or faint of heart. The U.S. Marine Corp is a whole different ball game and only for the few because you never get out. # 2 U.S Air Force. Stepping stones depending on your IQ to well paying enjoyable civilian careers. Comment: From my experience the exceptionally smart while in high school request their congressman to get them appointed to the U.S. Navel Academy, the Air Force Academy or West Point for the Army Officers.
Tech School sure have changed since I been in back in 1981 at Able Chief, Aircraft Maintenances. We had three phases. Phase 1 you had to be in your military fatigue during duty hours at all times. the first week, which was in- process, know what is expected of you and know the rules. You fall in at the same time as regular student. which mean you get up at 4am. you make sure you are shaved and showered, eat breakfast, your room is in inspection ready. because anytime during the day it will be inspected. fall in formation by 5am. but you do not march to class. do your in-processing then details. which is part of Phase 1. You had to be in the dorms by dinner time 4pm. then you were not allowed out. You could wear you civilian attire inside only. At the end of Phase 1 you were given your class schedule and the start of your training, that is the start of phase 2. Phase 2 you start your training classes. still have to be in your fatigue in the dorm til 4pm, which is dinner time. you were still not allowed out, by that time you are spend the night studying that days lessons and next days lessons. if you have free time, usually make calls home or write letters. two weeks into your training phase, and if you have no demerits you can go on to Phase 3. Phase 3 give you some freedom. which allow you to eat at the airman club, your curfew during the week you had to be in the dorm by 6pm, Fridays and Saturday curfew 11pm. can go off base to eat at restaurants or movies theaters. but you had to be back on base during the week by 6pm and weekend 11pm. of course this can be taken away if you have too many demerits or your grades are not passing. so you are responsible for yourself and behavior. Tech school was about 2 1/2 months. About two weeks before you graduate you are given your first base order. Where you FTD going to be while enroute to your first base. So it looks like Tech School has changed since I was in 1981.

Lmao my knees never crack but when I watched this they did
Every OS base is better than Stateside. All but those in the Middle East.
I'm at 24 years now.😁😁
How long is the wait to deploy out?
Enlisted Army, did three. Four years re-enlisted did basic again AIT then OCS. 18 years later retired as an 04.
One of the biggest mistakes people make is not knowing themselves before they join.
Air Traffic Controller - - Did 7 Years - Then 25 FAA for 32 YEARS Retirement Now 73 years old with a $95,000 year retirement .
I didn’t know that some people had to study for the asvab, when I took it I only did it to get out of the state testing, I got an 82 and 7 months later I’m an enlisted future soldier and leave for boot camp August 26
The 1 thing that kept me going through basic was living Sunday to Sunday and being able to attend Orthodox Christian service. Huge shoutout to CPT "Father" Pacurar for being there for me and guiding me through the process
I;m a former Air Force enlisted guy and this vid is an accurate tutorial about military life. I was picked in basic trading to learn the tactical use of Radar for Aircraft Control and Warning and promptly deployed to Korea after Tech school.. In my forth year of enlistment I was offer a Radar Air Traffic Control job with the FAA when my four years active duty tour was completed, I and I accepted. The big mistake people make is to get stuck with an Air Force job that has no civilian counterpart and not continuing there formal education. . Something like the FAA where as you slide right a nice job into upon completion of your AF contract. Think Lockheed, Northrop and Boeing etc as you future. You also want to have an Air Force job that requires a high security clearance because its very valuable just on it own. Don't even think about doing 20 or 30 years in the AF and subjecting some young girl/wife and kid/s to substandarded on base housing, probably moving every three years or you getting deployed to some sand pile or island for months while she sits home alone trying to deal with everything. Talk to an Air Force recruiter and find out what job slots look interesting and are open that have a civilian counter part job and what score you need to achieve on the entry aptitude test to be consider for the job; and ask how long is the wait you can expect until the slot is open. Don't wait till your in Basic Trading and they stick you in cooks and bakers, or general admn to work in logistics supply or some squadron orderly room. The Air Force does not want dummy's they want/need collage educated math majors.
Knowledgeable employers like former military due to the goal oriented attitude, teamwork ethic, taking orders.s completing tasks and showing up on time.
Source for this is "Trust me bro."
I entered basic training with the expectation that I would end up in a technical maintenance occupation. I had previously completed electronics training and had scored in the 80's and 90's range in all Air Force Aptitude tests. This was unusual when I compared my scores with other recruits who scored 30 or 40, tops. So, when I was interviewed by the evaluator, what happened? I was assigned to the administration field by the idiot. This resulted in one unhappy dude for the four years that I had to endure.
Why haven't I seen Scott AFB, Illinois mentioned? LOL It was only 3 hours from West Ky. I arrived there from Viet Nam! Almost volunteered to go back to Nam!
Im 33 thinking heavy about joining the air force any tips .?
We had to do it buck naked in a huge room full of guys 🤣🤣
When did the Air Force start accepting GED?
just to let you know how cool the air force is they have a console playing in the background 😆, the marines have a pull up bar.

I was in the core for 20 years ... now using money to pay for cs lessons
Does Cyber Warfare require a 6-year contract?
Get a job that is usable on the outside. Don't pigeon hole yourself in a super unique field that nobody outside can utilitize..BTW a degree is good but experience speaks more..good luck out there.
Can’t wait to join this incredible brotherhood
Miss you
Many Army posts like Fort Hood and Fort Riley have been totally redone and are up there with the Air Force. Just gorgeous posts.
Number 1: joining the military
I have CompTIA N+ and S+, a BS in Computer Science and am doing an MBA. How are promotion potential to E9 in this career field?
I'm a retired Air Force C-130 aircraft mechanic. Once I got trained I was gone all the time. I served in two wars. I lived in alot of tent cities and ate MRE's, especially in the middle east. Before I retired I got my associate degree in aircraft maintenance and airframe and powerplant license. I retired as an E-7 Master Sergent.
When I was there, it was E1-E3 three to a room, E4 two, E5 single
You took Saddam International? So you knew Scott Sather… I got in country just before Camp Sather was started. Are the rumors true about how he really died? Not many people know.
There is sulfer in the water on Lackland AFB TX, and you have to drink 2 glasses of it at every meal during basic training.
Reminds me of Col Sito in "Bridge over the River Kwai" be happy in your work!
I was a pilot and was stationed at Peterson Field, Colorado Springs in the 1970's.....long before it was renamed. It was an awesome place to be stationed, especially during the Viet Nam war.
Thanks for sharing!
Andrew’s has similar problems: 1-It’s an urban area 2-it’s full of liberals
Seattle has three major problems though: 1-It’s a city 2-It’s full of liberals 3-It’s near Canada.
Wow!!! Back in 2000 at Kessler, phase ups required passing a 2 mile run, phase 3 meant way more privileges. Punishment was back to phase 1 day 1.

🥇
EGLIN AFB , Florida. Chicks all over the place... Got Layed Like Crazy there 1972- 1975
So if you sign a 6 year contract you come out of tech school as E3 or how does that work?
My calculations counted 45 to 55 min. [ airbreathing engines ] to ? altitude. Then 20 to 40 sec. to go hypersonic. Then 5min 26 sec. to reach apogee. Orbital insertion. Guaranteed.
Failing meps is crazy work 😭 (unless it's medical related)
Air Force BMT is summer camp. Hardest part is not falling asleep.
Appreciate the knowledge and prep work for setting real expectations on what will be expected of location + timelines. Thank you Gent's!
I was medically discharged under honorable conditions after 5 years and by then I knew I wanted to do 20 but obviously could not
My mother told me that with the TSP while you're in the military, you can take a loan on whatever money you have in there and you are paying yourself back. So you become your own bank in a way. You pay yourself back with interest. It's better than paying interest to a bank
